Karen Jean Davis, 58, of Punta Gorda, Florida, died Sunday, August 6, 2006 in Punta Gorda at her residence.

Karen was born June 11, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York. She moved from Bellmore, Long Island, New York in 1982 to Punta Gorda. Karen was in the Optical Business 20 years until choosing early retirement to care for her ailing parents. She was an active member of the Women of the Moose #777, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1693, and American Legion Auxiliary Post #103, all of Punta Gorda. Karen was a wonderful friend, mother and grandmother, and was giving without fault of her self and time to those in need. She was a true friend to many and will be missed by her family and many friends.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Kellie J. Hoffman of Punta Gorda, 5 grandchildren, Christian, Collin and McKenna Hoffman, Kerri Plaza and Christopher Safron, all of Punta Gorda, and 2 nieces, Tara Plaza and Sarah Stern, also of Punta Gorda.
