Estrella Maria Torres Brignoni, 91, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018.
A woman of faith, an artist, a nurse, and a U.S. Army veteran, Estrella devoted her life to her family and to helping others. She was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, and was the fourth of six children. She had blonde hair and hazel green eyes. Estrella was beloved by her family and friends, and is especially remembered for a lifetime of charity and generosity to all. Everyone who met Estrella was touched and changed for the better by her love, selflessness, and beautiful spirit. She will be remembered and missed by her cherished grandchildren Giancarlo, Mariano, Antonio, and Penelope, and by her loving nieces and nephews. Estrella leaves an enduring, and far-reaching legacy of love and light. She will be forever loved, remembered, and missed.
She is survived by her children Jeanette (Ric Din) of Los Angeles, CA, Dr. Anthony Brignoni (Aida) of Arcadia, FL, and Nereida (David Antonick) of Long Island, NY. She is preceded in death by Antonio, her husband of 58 years, daughter, Yolanda, and her siblings Elena, Brunilda, and Rolando. She also leaves behind her sisters Carmen Dixon (Bob) of Tulsa, OK, and Maria Yang (Charles) of Coral Springs, FL.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date by the family.
