He was born on October 23, 1926 in Guyana to the late Vernon and Salomey Thomas Brandt. He worked at Alco Bauxite Company and migrated from Guyana to Brooklyn, New York in 1968 then retiring to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1989. Edric was a member of the First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte.
He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 43 years, Beryl E. Brandt; four daughters, Mayleen, Jean, Wendy, and Joycelyn; three sons, Randolph, Vincent, and Linden; sister, Evelyn; brother, Rudolph; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte, 20035 Quesada Ave., Port Charlotte, FL. 33952 followed by Funeral services at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
