She was born August 9, 1928 in Marianna, Florida to the late Henry and Cora Lee Hill and moved to Port Charlotte from Marianna in 1960. Annie spent many years volunteering in the community for Meals on Wheels Thrift Shop, the Port Charlotte Church of Christ Food Pantry and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She had a passion for sewing and making lap pads, diddy bags and bibs for various organizations.
She is survived by her loving family, a daughter, Patricia A. (Charles Hurst) Anthony of Willacoochee, GA; a son, Henry “Hank” Latstetter of Port Charlotte, FL; two sisters, Ada (Whitney) Lawson of Port Charlotte, FL and Magalene “Maggie” Neel of Tallahassee, FL; a brother Danny Ray (Linda) Hill of Tallahassee, FL; 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Pitman, brother, Vernon Hill and a sister, Marie Smith.
Memorial services will be held Monday 10:30 AM, October 26, 2015 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Entombment will follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, Punta Gorda, Florida.
Memorial contributions in Annie’s memory may be made to the Port Charlotte Church of Christ, 20484 Midway Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33952.
