Mr. Chapmen, Carolie, Susan, and Brett Such sad news. My thoughts are with you all. Mrs. Chapman will be missed. She was a great neighbor and was always smiling! It was a bad week for the Southfield neighborhood.

Letty was such a wonderful person. I have great memories of Letty and her high school friends (my mom, Sookie and Connie) getting together and laughing the entire time. Such a bright, warm and fun person to be around. My father and I send our condolences to Donald and all family- she will be greatly missed.

Grandma was a truly amazing person. We had so many great memories together - between family gatherings growing up, visits to Florida, tours of DC and Georgetown, and our most recent time in Boston. Grandma always knew what to say. She listened closely to our stories. She read my emails several times over and managed to remember even the smallest detail or anecdote several months later. Grandma cheered me up during difficult times. She always found a way to insert just the right amount of humor into conversation whenever I needed that extra pick-me-up. Always positive. Always present. Happy to be alive. That was Grandma in a nutshell. We will all miss her deeply. While I am sad to know that she is no longer physically with us, her positive spirit remains.

Letty was such a kind woman with an easy laugh and a big smile on her face. Although I didn’t see her often, it was always a treat when I saw her and Don at Julie and Brett’s house! She will be missed greatly. My deepest condolences to Don, Carolie, Susan, Brett and their families.

Letty You were the most loving, giving and strong person I have ever met. I will miss our time, conversation and laughs on Tilden at Tradewinds and HOP. Our children will miss their Granma and the time they had with you but be able to share wonderful memories for years to come.... When you arrive at your final destination ... find Sue and Brad and say hello from all of us and their you can continue your discussion on stuffing with Sr. Rest in peace Letty you will be missed but never forgotten. All My Love, Brad

Letty will be missed tremendously. As of one her grandchildren, she taught me what it genuinely means to smile. Although going through photos of her has been tough, I can't help but smile seeing her with such happiness in each picture. Grandma put family and friends before her in everything she did, and she will forever lead an example to me on what it means to love and respect those around us. May she rest in peace.

I am sorry to hear about the passing of Letty. I will miss her ever-present smile, cheery disposition and genuine warmth. Right now memories of her bring tears and sadness, but gradually in time her memories will bring us more smiles and laughter. My thoughts are with Don and the rest of the family. Hang in there. Love, Julie
