Saturday, December 16, 2006 at the Douglas T. Jacobson State Veterans’
Nursing Home, Port Charlotte.
He was born March 7, 1919 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was
a retired millwright. He was a member of the Dormont United Methodist
Church in Pittsburgh, LaFayette Lodge No. 652 F&AM of Carnegie, PA,
Scottish Rite, Valley of Pittsburgh, Araba Temple of the Shrine of Fort
Myers, FL, American Legion Post #110, Moose Lodge No. 2121 and
Elks Lodge #2153 all of Port Charlotte. He was a veteran of World War II, U.S. Army.
He is survived by two step-daughters, Gloria S. Brinker of
Port Charlotte and Georgia S. Williams of Riverside, CA; 9 grandchildren
and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth L.
Vogel who died in 1996.
