DR. RAYMOND N. VITULLO, M.D. 48, of Punta Gorda, Florida died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2006 at home.
He was born August 10, 1958 in Elizabeth, New Jersey and lived in
Delaware before moving to Punta Gorda six years ago. He was a cardiologist
in private practice for the past two years. Before that he worked for Charlotte
Heart and Vascular Institute in Port Charlotte for 3 ½ years. Dr. Vitullo graduated
from John Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD in 1981 and received this medical
degree from Tufts Medical School in Boston in 1985. He completed a medical
internship and residency in 1988 at Harvard Medical School and did his Cardiac
Fellowship at Duke University in North Carolina in 1990. He was a teaching
Professor at Duke University in 1991.
A member of the American Medical Assn, Dr. Vitullo also belonged to the
Florida Medical Society, the Charlotte County Medical Society and the North
American Society of Pacing and Electro-Physiology. He was also a Fellow of the
American College of Cardiologists and the American Chest Physicians.
He is survived by two children, daughter, Adrienne Vitullo, a son, Daniel Vitullo, and their mother, Elizabeth Vitullo; a sister, Dr. Angela Hall, Pys. D and
her husband, Dr. Jeff Hall, D.M.D.; his companion, Alexandra Engstrom; and a
niece and a nephew.
Visitation will be held Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM Nov. 5th at Werson Funeral Home, 635 N. Wood Ave., Linden, NJ 07036. Funeral Mass will be held Monday 11:00 AM, November 6, 2006 at St. John the Apostle R.C. Church in Clark-Linden. Interment
will follow in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia, NJ
