RALPH HENRY DEMMIN, 82, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Tuesday,
January 16, 2007 at Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, Port Charlotte.
He was born December 20, 1924 in Peoria, Illinois and moved to Port
Charlotte 8 years ago from Princeton, Illinois. He was a retired road construction
Foreman. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Charlotte where
he served on the Worship Committee and was a member of the choir. Ralph was
a volunteer at the Habitat for Humanity Resale Store in Punta Gorda for over 5 years. He was a member of American Legion Post #110 of Port Charlotte and a veteran of World War II, U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 51 years, Lois M. Demmin
of Port Charlotte; a daughter, Jan M. (Mark W. ) Fanstill of Port Charlotte; a sister,
Dolores Cates of Bellevue, IL; two grandchildren, Vicki and Nicole Fanstill of Port
Charlotte; 4 nieces and a nephew. He was preceded by his parents, Henry and Emma
Demmin, and a sister, Edna Mae Frickleton.
