Merle was born on June 22, 1941 in Jamaica, West Indies. Merle married in 2005, the Rev. Cecil N. Wiltshire, former Pastor of the Church of God in Port Charlotte.
She was preceded in death by Rev. Wiltshire in 2017. Surviving her is her son, Novel Mattis of Tampa, FL, extended family members and many friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held today, Friday, July 30, 2021, from 10 to 11 am, with funeral service at 11 am at Roberson Funeral Home, address 2151 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte. Committal with Entombment to follow will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens cemetery in Port Charlotte.
