She was born April 18, 1926 in Jamaica to the late David Jackson and Berta Miller Jackson. Mavis moved to Port Charlotte in 2003 from 
Westchester, New York. She was a retired Registered Nurse and a member of the Port Charlotte Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her loving family, a son Glenn White of Port Charlotte; a sister, Beryl Hyatt of England; and a brother, John Ricketts of Jamaica; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death her husband, Kenneth Moore who died in 2010.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, Florida 33948. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
