Jean A. Mahon, 94, of Tallahassee, Florida and former resident of Port Charlotte died Saturday, September 15, 2018 at home.

Jean was born October 7, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Marvel G. and Florence C. Crongeyer. She moved to Port Charlotte in 1968 with her husband, William D. Mahon, II and moved to Tallahassee in 2017. Jean was a former member of the Charlotte Harbor Yacht Club.

She is survived by her loving family, a daughter, Susan Lynn (Charlie) Mahon-Hodge of Flowery Branch, GA; three sons, William Daniel (Paulette) Mahon,III of Lakeland, FL, Gary Lee (Sandy) Mahon of Tallahassee and Duane Curtis (Sharon) Mahon of Toccoa, GA. 6 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, William D. Mahon, II in 2014, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Visitation will be held Friday Sept. 21, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 AM at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, Florida 33948. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.

There were five of girls that went to high school.one oh them being Sue. After graduation and when we all had boyfriends.we decided to fix a fancy dinner for our boyfriends. Mr and Mrs. Mahon were kind enough to let us use there house. They left the house to us and we each of the girls brought a dish for dinner. The guys had to dress nice and we wore dresses and used Mrs. Mahon's formal dinning room for the dinner (of course we had to clean everything up) always remember that they were so kind to us.
