JAMES E. PATCHEN, 70, of North Port, Florida died Wednesday, January 03, 2007 at Peace River Regional Medical Center, Port Charlotte.
He was born August 16, 1936 in Jamestown, New York and moved to North
Port six months ago from Coram, Long Island, New York. He was a retired bus and motor coach driver. He was a Catholic and a member of the American Legion Post
of Port Jefferson, NY. James was a Veteran of the Viet Nam War, serving in the
U.S. Marines.
He is survived by his wife, Jean M. Patchen of North Port; 3 daughters,
Mary Pat Patchen, Debra Patchen, and Loretta Ames all of New York; 4 sons, James Patchen of Seattle, WA, Joseph Carmella of New City, NY, Vincent Carmella of Port Charlotte, FL and Thomas McNair of North Port; three sisters, Elizabeth Kannel of Columbus, OH, Rosemary Heckathorn of Java, NY and Anne Woods of Portland, NY; a brother, Arthur Patchen of Little Valley, NY; and 12 grandchildren.
