Dear Mrs Hollis, I thank you for the honor and huge pleasure of being involved in your care. It was always a delight to see your smile. Although you had reason to complain, you never did, you remained strong and stoic, and full of good humor. You were a model to me of how to handle difficulty. I have been missing you already. You are not going to be forgotten. With love, and wishes for your eternal comfort . Doc

Irene, my wonderful sister, who helped me during my growing up years as my first and second grade school teacher. Then being blessed with continued closeness as we grew older. Our weekly phone calls brought laughs about some of the foolish things we had done when we were younger. My love for you will continue always and I am so blessed by those wonderful memories, our love and concerns for each other. See you in Heaven! All my love, Your Sister, Imogene
Dr. Max K. Burkhead II left a message on April 16, 2019:
As a young child, I always loved visiting with Sherman and Irene. Her laughter was contagious and I know her love for Christ was as well. She will be missed. Our prayers are with the family.
Cynthia Logan left a message on April 15, 2019:
Irene was a precious friend. Whenever she could, she would attend the weekly Bible Study at Lexington Manor. I enjoyed my visits to her room where she was often putting together a puzzle. Sometime we worked on a puzzle together. She gave our 5 year old grandson two puzzles and I gave her pictures of Kingsley putting the puzzles together. She always had a smile and she was so proud of her daughter and son. She felt loved and cared for because of them. She will never be forgotten by my husband and me.
