David Anthony Tomascak, 55, of Fort Myers, Florida died March 5, 2020. He was born September 16, 1964 in Hartford, Connecticut.
David was a gentle soul who was a son, and a brother. A sudden and unexpected loss touches many lives in many ways. Dave was so much more than his death. He was a very caring man who loved his family. Dave had a great passion for his favorite Miami Dolphins and his New York Mets. He enjoyed playing golf, baseball, cooking, video games, spicy food especially his specialty chili. He loved animals particularly cats.
As a child Dave had the most innocent and happy smile any baby could have. He and his brother Michael Tomascak were daredevils as boys, building skiing, biking and skateboarding ramps. Anything to fly as high as they could. David caused mischief and mayhem with his siblings, water balloon fights, Marco polo in the family swimming pool, Frankenstein in the afternoon hours around the family back yard.
He was loved by his father Peter Tomascak and step mother Lee Tomascak, his siblings Donna Stoike, Andrea Wilson, Wendy Tomascak, and Kim Tomascak his step brother and sister Brian Pierce, and Karen Elsenboss. He was loved by his nieces and nephews, his many aunts and uncles and numerous cousins. Dave did not go alone, he was accompanied by his mother Yolanda Tomascak to a place he will finally find peace from his struggles and can lay his fears and disappointments aside. Dave is finally home surrounded by a love that knows no end.
