Augusta Doret, 81, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Life Care Center of Punta Gorda, FL.

Augusta was born to Augustin and Marguerite Moreau on September 9, 1938 in Haiti and emigrated to the U.S. in 1970 from Haiti and moved to Port Charlotte in 1995 from Bronx, NY. Augusta was a devout Catholic. She loved word searches, cooking, sewing, gardening, the Olympics, music and loved to dance but most of all she loved spoiling her grandkids. “Tata” was a favorite auntie to many. She loved spending time with her sister Marie and many friends who will miss her dearly.

Survivors include her loving husband, Edese; her daughter, Peggy Doret of Port Charlotte; 3 sons, Edese Doret, Jr. of Manhattan, NY, James Doret of Port Charlotte and Gilbert Doret of San Bernardino, CA, her brother, Abner Moreau of Haiti and her sister, Marie Verneret of Miami, FL.

Visitation will be held 6:00PM-8:00PM, Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00AM, Friday, November 15, 2019 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte, Florida.
