Kenneth L. Roberson

President and Funeral Director

Ken is founder and President of Roberson Funeral Home and has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1965.

A Florida native, Ken was born in Bradenton and graduated from Manatee High School and Manatee Jr. College. He attended the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science and moved to Port Charlotte in 1976.

Ken served as Past President of the Port Charlotte Rotary Club and is a member of the Rotary International Foundation, Port Charlotte United Methodist Church, and Punta Gorda Elks Lodge No. 2606. He is a Paul Harris Fellow and a Master Mason, Punta Gorda Lodge No. 115 F&AM.

In 2008, Ken was elected to the Florida House of Representatives, District 71 representing parts of Charlotte, Lee and Sarasota Counties.

James Clay Roberson

Vice President and Funeral Director

Clay followed in his father, Ken Roberson’s footsteps and became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in 1993.

A Florida native, Clay was born in Bradenton and graduated from Manatee High School in 1987.  In 1992, he received his A.S. Degree in Mortuary Science from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, Atlanta, Georgia.

Clay is very involved in the community and is the Past President of both the Rotary Club of Harbor Heights-Peace River and the Florida Funeral Directors Association and current member of Florida Cemetery, Funeral and Cremation Association.

Clay is very active in coaching and sponsoring  youth sports in Charlotte County. Charlotte Warriors Punta Gorda Pop Warner Football, Punta Gorda Little League Baseball, Charlotte County Soccer Federation.  He is a member of the 2010-2011 Leadership Charlotte Class of the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Toni, have two daughters, Hannah and Haylana and a son, Hayden.

Clay and his family remain committed to providing the highest standards of professional care and service to the community.

Ross G. Schultz

Funeral Director

Ross has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Florida since 1980, and a director with Roberson Funeral Home since 1989.

A Florida native, Ross was born in Sarasota and is a lifetime resident of Charlotte County. He graduated from Charlotte High School in Punta Gorda and received his Degree in Mortuary Science from Miami-Dade College.

A second-generation Funeral Director, Ross began working at his family’s funeral home at the age of 12. His father, the late Rod Schultz, was a well-respected Funeral Director and Embalmer in Punta Gorda for many years. Like his father, Ross has dedicated his career to giving families the utmost in personal attention and service with integrity and dignity.

Ross is a member and Past President of the Punta Gorda Rotary Club.

Ross has five children and recently became a grandfather.

Benjamin Rivera

Funeral Director

Ben has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 2008.

Born in Burlington, New Jersey, Ben is a graduate of Port Charlotte High School and received his A.S. Degree in Mortuary Science from St. Petersburg College, St. Petersburg, Florida.

He enjoys serving his community and is a member of Knights of Columbus, Council No. 11483 of Port Charlotte.

He and his wife Melissa have three daughters and are practicing Catholics.

John Paul Wieber II

Pre-Need Counselor

John Paul Wieber II serves as a Licensed Pre-Need Counselor and Life Insurance Agent for Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory.

Born in West Islip, New York, John escaped the cold and moved to Florida in 1980. He was a member of the first graduating class of Port Charlotte High School in 1984 and went on to receive a B.S. Degree in Financial Management from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida.

John worked extensively in retail before joining Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory in 2008.

He and his wife Deanna have a daughter, Toni Lynn, and a son, John Paul Wieber III.
