Kenneth L. Roberson

President and Funeral Director

A native of Florida, Ken was born in Bradenton and moved to Port Charlotte in 1976.

He is a graduate of Manatee High School and Manatee Jr. College, both of Bradenton, and a graduate of the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science.  Ken is a Past President of the Port Charlotte Rotary Club, a member of the Rotary International Foundation, a Paul Harris Fellow, a member of Elks Lodge No. 2606 of Punta Gorda and is a Master Mason, Punta Gorda Lodge No. 115 F&AM. He is member of the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church. Ken has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1965. He was elected to the Florida House of Representatives, District 71 in 2008 representing parts of Charlotte, Lee and Sarasota Counties.

 

James Clay Roberson

Vice President and Funeral Director

A native of Florida, Clay was born in Bradenton and graduated in 1987 from Manatee High School.  He received his A.S. Degree in Mortuary Science form Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service, Atlanta, Georgia in 1992. Clay is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Harbor Heights-Peace River, Past President of the Florida Funeral Directors Association.  He currently serves on the Port Charlotte Bandits Football Board of Directors, is a kids soccer coach for the Charlotte County Soccer Federation and a member of the 2010-2011 Leadership Charlotte Class of the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce.  He has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 1993 and is very involved in the community. Clay is the son of founder Ken Roberson and is married to his wife, Toni, and has two daughters and a son.

 

Marshall J. Montagna

Funeral Director

Born in Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Marshall has been a Florida resident since 1954. He graduated from Plantation High School and received an A.S. Degree in Mortuary Science from Miami-Dade College, Miami, Florida. He is a charter member and Past President of the Murdock Rotary Club and has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Florida since 1979.

 

Ross G. Schultz

Funeral Director

Born in Sarasota, Florida, Ross is a lifetime resident of Charlotte County and graduate of Charlotte High School, Punta Gorda. He received his Degree in Mortuary Science from Miami-Dade College in Miami, Florida and is a member and Past President of the Punta Gorda Rotary Club. A second-generation funeral director, Ross grew up in an active funeral service family and began working in his family owned funeral home at age 12. His father, the late Rod Schultz, was a well-respected funeral director and embalmer in Punta Gorda for many years, and like his father, Ross has dedicated his career to giving families the utmost in personal attention and service above self with integrity and dignity. Ross has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Florida since 1980, and a director with Roberson Funeral Homes since 1989. Raising five children, he recently became a grandfather for the first time.

 

Benjamin Rivera

Funeral Director

Born in Burlington, New Jersey, Ben is a graduate of Port Charlotte High School and received his A.S. Degree in Mortuary Science from St. Petersburg College, St. Petersburg, Florida. His is married to his wife, Melissa and has three daughters.  He is Catholic and a member of Knights of Columbus, Council No. 11483 of Port Charlotte and enjoys serving the community. Ben has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer since 2008.

 
 

Hunter J. West

Intern Funeral Director

Hunter is a Florida native, born in Bradenton, Florida and grew up in Manatee County, Florida. He is a graduate of Manatee High School of Bradenton and earned his B.S. Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of South Florida in 2006.  He received his A.S. Degree in Mortuary Science from St. Petersburg College, St. Petersburg, Florida.  Hunter is the nephew of the founder, Ken Roberson, and is currently serving his funeral director and embalmer internship.
