Steven P. Harvey, Sr. 66, of Englewood, FL, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017.

Steven was born November 12, 1950, in San Jose, California, to the late David and Annabell Harvey. Steven moved from his native California to Michigan, where he and his wife Virgie, raised four sons and two daughters together. Steven and Virgie moved from Michigan in the early 1980’s to Charlotte County and eventually settled in Englewood, FL. Together they operated Septic Tank Cleaning services of Grove City, FL on Placida Road.

Steven is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Virgie A. Harvey, children, Steven P. Harvey, Jr., Virgil Allen Harvey, Edward Themm, and Barbara Nolan; brothers, Nevada Harvey, and Mearl Harvey; sister, Anna May McKerly; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by a son, Nevada David Harvey in 2008, daughter, Mary T. Smith in 2014, and sister-in-law, Sandra K. (Spouse Mearl) Harvey in 2015.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 29th, 2017 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Home, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, Florida.
