Shirley P. Wolfe, age 89, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away quietly October 13, 2017 with family members by her side.
She was born December 12, 1927 in Aliquippa, PA to the late Joseph and Pearl Doyle. Resilient, non judgmental, and always on the go, Shirley was one of the first Women to retire from an operational position in a steel mill. Upon retirement, she moved to Florida and her great adventure really began. In retirement, she built multiple houses and even obtained her own bull float for laying cement. She loved to gallivant to places unknown in search of treasure at bargain prices. She was extremely active in the Oak Hallow community and neighbors enjoyed stopping by to monitor the progress of her never ending adventures and home projects.
Shirley was preceded in death by her two sons Larry and Wayne Wolfe, her sister Colleen Daniels and brother Lawrence Doyle. She is survived by her sister Cleora D. Rodgers, four grandchildren; Tracie, Tara, Leon and Reanne, and four great grandchildren; Alley, Nikki, Kelsey and Christopher.
A celebration of life luncheon will be held at the Oak Hollow Community Center on Friday October 20, 2017 from 11:30 AM -3:00 PM Price of admission is one funny Shirley story…….
