Shirley M. Stiner, 80, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away Monday, September 19, 2016.

Shirley was born December 22, 1935 in Coshocton County, Ohio, and moved to Sarasota in 1959. From there, she and husband James L. Stiner, moved to Port Charlotte in 1978. While her husband was President of the Murdock Rotary Club, Shirley was President of the International Inner Wheel of Punta Gorda, FL.

She is survived by her four children, a son, J. Alan (Vicki and sons, Kevin and Donny) Stiner of Arcadia, FL, daughters, Ann (Jeff and sons Jeffrey and Jordan) Russell of Port Charlotte, FL, Brenda (Bob and children Bobby and Cody) Richard of Fort Ogden, FL, and Katherine (Ben and children Gabrielle, Nathan and Abigail) Turpin of Nokomis, FL. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband James in December 2006.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016 at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. in Palms Memorial Park in Sarasota, Florida.
