Robert “Bob” Lowell Carlson, 89, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at Port Charlotte Rehabilitation Center.
Robert was born November 29, 1927 in Superior, Wisconsin to the late Leonard and Edith Carlson. His family soon after moved across the bridge to Duluth, Minnesota. Robert was a graduate of Denfeld High School where he found his passion for music and became first chair violin. During this time he also became interested in radios and early electronics. This led to his opening of Grand TV Paint and Photo Supply in Duluth then later C&S TV Sales and Repair in Port Charlotte after moving here in 1964.
He is survived by his loving family, a daughter, Nancy L. Elliott; a grandson Curtis Elliott; and a great granddaughter, Amelia Elliott, all of Port Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia M. Carlson, who died in 1975.
To celebrate his love for music, donations can be made to the North Port Concert Band, www.northportconcertband.org , the ensemble in which his grandson now plays.
Private interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
