Rita was born November 5, 1929 in Jamaica, West Indies. She was a caregiver to many elderly residents who required needs for many years. Rita was a lovely lady who loved life and her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew her.
Survivors include her 3 sons, Harold McLawrence of Brooklyn, NY, Egbert McLawrence of Port Charlotte, FL and Donald Smith of North Port, FL; her daughter, Carmen McLawrence of Brooklyn, NY; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, November 13, 2015 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, November 14, 2015 at United Evangelical Missionary Outreach, 4200 Juniper St. Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens Port Charlotte, FL.
Friends may visit at www.robersonfh.com to sign the memory book and extend condolences to the family. Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel.
