Rickford was born to Carlton and Mildred Nurse on January 11, 1932 in Georgetown, Guyana, South America and moved to Port Charlotte in 1992 from Brooklyn, New York. Rickford was a member of Trinity Church of God and was well liked with the community for his great personality. He was a wonderful man who enjoyed life to the fullest and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Margaret; 5 daughters, Anita, Mayleane Shannet, Deborha and Roxanne; 5 sons, Vibert, Kenrick, Wendell, Noel and Charles and Numerous grands and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 1:00PM-2:00PM, Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel with funeral services to follow at 2:00PM at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at a later date by the family.
