Norman was born on August 11, 1918 in Des Moines, Iowa . He was married for 70 years to his late wife Kathryn. He served In the U.S. Navy for 22 years and retired as Chief Petty Officer. He was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. He was employed by Boeing Corp. following his Naval career. He was active in his church as a Eucharistic Minister and was a longtime member of the Port Charlotte Irish American Club.
He is survived by three sons, John & wife Carol Dunning of Dunnellon, FL. James & wife Peggy Dunning of Gonzales, LA., Michael & wife Bernadine Dunning of Bristol, PA. four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Mass held on 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte.
