Nickey W. Harris, Jr., 58, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at his home in Port Charlotte.
Nick was born to Nickey Sr. and Leilanii Harris on January 30, 1958 in Oklahoma City, OK and moved to Port Charlotte in 2003 from Tampa, FL. Nick was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 22 years working at various hospitals. His most current was Bayfront Health Port Charlotte where he was the E.R. nurse for 11 years. Nick was a man who loved life to the fullest and helping people when needed. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, uncle, brother in law and friend and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife, Dagmar; 5 children, Dorie and Nickey, III Harris and Brie-Ann, Ashli, and Cody Sinnott all of Port Charlotte; his mother, Leilanii Harris of Oklahoma; 2 brothers, Norman and Larry Harris both of Oklahoma; his brother and sister in law, Steve and Krista Fitzgerald of Port Charlotte and his nephews, Mathew and Aaron Martins of Port Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorie Harris.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice Inc. 5595 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34238.
