Nancy Lee Talboom, 84, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of Glastonbury, Connecticut, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 in Port Charlotte.

Nancy was born January 13, 1931 in Auburn, New York, the only child of the late Richard and Leora (nee – Cook) Bond. Nancy and her husband Frank, having raised four children, retired and moved from their longtime home in Glastonbury, to Port Charlotte in 1995.

She is survived by her four children, daughters Susan Smith and Lori Talboom, and sons Geoffrey and Scott Talboom; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Talboom, and her beloved husband of 55 years, Frank Peter Talboom, Jr. CDR U.N.S., Ret.

A private committal will be held by the Talboom family at a later date.

Memorial donations are suggested in Nancy’s name to Tidewell Hospice Philanthropy Department, 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.

We will always remember Nancy fondly, from Surrey Lane neighborhood days to high school and college years' New Year's Eve parties. Sue, Geoff, Scot and Lori you and the rest of the family are in aur thoughts and prayers. When it' Mom/Grandmother/Great Grandmother it's always too soon. Remembering fondly Frank and Nancy's visits to our High School and College New Year's Eve parties

All the Herzogs extend their sympathy to all the Talbooms on the death of their mother, grandmother and great grandmother(!). Nancy and Frank and family were wonderful Glastonbury neighbors to us, even putting up, most of the time, with our ever barking Welsh Corgi, Princess. We still call your house the Talboom house. Did not realize they had given up Sandwich on Cape Cod for the warmer breezes of Florida. Love to all.
