Mildred S. Martin, 83, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly Fairmont, NC, passed away Nov. 16, 2015 in Port Charlotte.

A Graveside funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, Nov. 19, at Restlawn Memorial Gardens cemetery in Port Charlotte.

Mrs. Martin was born September 13, 1932 in Fairmont to the late George and Glendora (nee-Bissell) Stephens, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, George “Pete” Stephens, Jr., David and Paul Stephens, and her beloved husband, William W. Martin.

She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Deleon and grand-daughter, Jennifer Deleon, both of Augusta, GA; a sister and brother-in-law, Emma L. and Luther Whitley of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Mrs. (George) Neta Rose Stephens; nephews, Stephen and Charles Whitley, and Gregory Stephens; nieces Donna Smith, and Allyson Flowers; cousin, Frederia Stephens, and special friends Juanita Spurlock, and David and Judy Binns.
