Linda L. Daut, 76, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL.
Linda was born to Lawrence and Louise Hoskinson on April 11, 1940 in Iowa City, Iowa. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Punta Gorda for many years and President of the Alter Guild. Linda was the sunshine to all who loved and knew her.
Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Peter E. Daut; her daughter, Michelle Brogan of Batavia, IL; 2 sons, Matthew Daut of Apex, NC and Michael Daut of Grayslake, IL; a sister, Dolores Fuller of TX; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 10:30AM, Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Faith Lutheran Church in Punta Gorda, FL. A Celebration of Life event is scheduled 1:00PM-3:00PM, Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Burnt Store Colony’s Banquet Hall in true Florida casual style. Feel free to bring your favorite stories and share sweet treats as we honor her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animal Welfare League of Charlotte County, FL, Inc., 3519 Drance Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33980, in memory of Linda Daut.

I was so saddened to hear of Linda death. She was certainly a wonderful, upbeat person to be around. She will be truly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you Pete and the children. God Bless

Linda had such a beautiful smile and was always so kind to me, as I have said to Peter and family, there are no words. May she rest in peace and her loved ones cherish the time they had together.
