Kenneth W. Gilmore, Sr., 82, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016 at his home in Port Charlotte.
Kenneth was born to Samuel and Dorothy Gilmore on February 6, 1934 in Boston, Massachusetts. He was a Korean War veteran who served proudly in the U.S. Air Force. Ken enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Survivors include his daughters, Dolina Coffin of Indianapolis, IN, Brenda Gilmore and Mary Ellen Hawe both of Port Charlotte; his son, Kenneth Gilmore, Jr. of Weymouth, MA; 2 sisters, Dorothy Kimball of Roxbury, MA and Sheila Analetto of Boston, MA; 4 brothers, Reese and peter Gilmore of Port Charlotte and Richard and Norman Gilmore of Boston, MA and numerous grandchildren, great-grand children and great –great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date by the family.
