Kathleen (Kathy) Jane Casey, 62, of Port Charlotte, FL, passed away on Tuesday August 8, 2017.

Kathleen was born on June 29, 1955 in Providence, Rhode Island. Kathy lived in Port Charlotte for the last 29 years and was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. A typical Saturday for her included sitting at a scorching hot softball field cheering loudly for her granddaughter Gianna. If you knew her at all then I’m sure you’ve heard her say many times “That’s my Gigi”.

Kathy is survived by her daughter Melissa Conklin (Jonathan) of Apollo Beach, FL; special Niece Cristina Monroe; honorary granddaughter and love of her life Gianna Maietta; brother Raymond DeFusco (Joanne) of Providence, RI; sister Betty Maietta (Mario) of Port Charlotte, FL; nephews Carmine, Raymond, Michael, Joey & John; cousin Maggie Oakes (Phoebe). Kathy was preceded in death by her brother Charles “Sonny” DeFusco and her loving mother, Theresa DeFusco.

Memorial services will be held Saturday 1:00 PM, August 12, 2017 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday from 11:00 AM until service time.
