Jerry E. Kelly, 77, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.

Jerry was born to Elden and Vivian Kelly on November 23, 1939 in South Bend, Indiana and moved to Port Charlotte in 1983 from there. Jerry was a U.S. Army Reserve veteran. He served as a volunteer for the Charlotte County Sheriff Department for 12 years. He was a truck driver for many years for Young Trucking. Jerry was a kind hearted man who enjoyed life to the fullest and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Etta; his daughters, Michele DeLaO of San Diego, CA, Angela Saunders of St. Augustine, FL and Sarah Cutrona of Gunnison, CO and his sister, Judy Young of Port Charlotte; 3 grandchildren, Brooke, Destiny and Jordan; 3 great-grandchildren, Harlow, Hendrix and Helina; a niece, Cindy and his nephew, Jerry.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:00AM, Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Interment with military honors will follow to Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte, FL.
