Jeremy Martin Platzer, 30, of Port Charlotte, lost his life to a long battle with Leukemia and the Good Lord took him to heaven on October 29th, 2015.
Jeremy was born November 20, 1984 in Hollywood, Florida. A longtime resident of Port Charlotte, Jeremy graduated from Port Charlotte High in 2003, followed by Florida Gulf Coast University.
Jeremy is special; he survived by his father, Martin Platzer, and his mother Kim (nee-Vaughan) Platzer; his grandmother Barbara Vaughan, uncle Charles and aunt Linda Oliver, uncle Steve and aunt Theresa Vaughan, uncle Alan and aunt Cathy Hof, and uncle Randy and aunt Patty Foster; and his many “wonderful cousins and friends”.
A Celebration of Life will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 7th, 2015 at New Day Christian Church, 20212 Peachland Blvd. in Port Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jeremy’s name are suggested to a place that is special in your own hearts, Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation P.O. Box 23827 Tampa, FL 33623-3827, Tidewell Hospice Philanthropy Department 5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238, the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition and the Charlotte Behavioral Center in Punta Gorda were a few of his choices.
