Helen was born on January 2, 1926 in Scranton, Pennsylvania to the late Ben and Amelia Griscavage. An administrative assistant for Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, Helen and her husband Joseph retired to Port Charlotte from Trenton in 1985. Locally Helen was an active community volunteer and member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte.
Helen is survived by her children, Edward (Robin) Hudzina of Port Charlotte, FL, Joseph E. (Lynn) Hudzina of Columbus, NJ, and daughter, Marilyn Hudzina of ME; 2 grandchildren, Michael and Jon Hudzina; a brother, Bart Griscavage of Ewing, NJ, and sister Mildred Zvonchenko of Scranton, PA. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Joseph E. Hudzina in 1998.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roberson Funeral Homes, Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral services and burial will be held in Trenton, New Jersey.
