Helen A. Tynan, 83, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died Saturday, December 9, 2017, in Port Charlotte.
Born October 6, 1934 in Charlestown, in Boston, Massachusetts, Helen and husband Charlie, moved to Port Charlotte from Billerica, Massachusetts in 1990. Helen worked as a Target store associate in Port Charlotte for 10 years, and a Fawcett Memorial Hospital volunteer for 10 years, before retiring. She was a past member and parishioner of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte.
She is survived by a son, Charles F. “Butchie” Tynan, Jr. of Port Charlotte; two grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two step-sisters, two step-brothers, and many extended family members. Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband of more than 54 years, Charles “Charlie” F. Tynan in 2007.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 PM with Catholic Prayer service at 2 PM Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Roberson Funeral Home, 2151 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens cemetery in Port Charlotte.
