Dr. Hoplyn M. Graham-Beaton, MD, 56, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 2, 2017 in Port Charlotte.
Dr. Beaton affectionately known as Audrey was born to Vernon and Maud Graham on December 20, 1960 in Jamaica, West Indies. She was an extraordinary woman who loved life to the fullest. She was a teacher for many years in Jamaica where she taught both Biology and Mathematics. Thereafter, she went to school to become a Medical Doctor where she practiced at Hudson River Community Health Center in Upstate New York. She later moved to Florida where she continued her medical practice in Tampa, Florida and later in Port Charlotte, FL. She enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, cooking, photography and spending time with her family and friends. She will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew her.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Robert Beaton of Hoboken, NJ and Richard Beaton of Boston, MA; her mother, Maud Graham of Port Charlotte; 6 sisters, Dr. Janet Winston, MD of Chesapeake, VA, Sharon Graham and Amelia Graham both of Danbury, CT, Claudia Graham of Boynton Beach, FL and Alicia and Osnique Graham both of Jamaica, W.I.; 11 nieces and nephews and several cousins.
A Visitation will be held 6:00PM-8:00PM, Friday, December 15, 2017 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 10:00AM, Saturday, December 16, 2017 at United Evangelical Missionary Outreach, 4200 Juniper St. Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Interment will follow to Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
Friends may visit www.robersonfh.com to extend condolences to the family. Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel.

Hoplyn was one my room mates at college. We (Hoplyn, Ver and I) got along so well that we roomed for both first and second year. She was a super organized and very thorough person. I remember her being so thorough that she wrote a bibliography for her essay in an exam! She left nothing to chance. She was always on time, well groomed and very professional. She is firmly grounded in her faith in God, and we who share her faith have the glorious hope of seeing her again.
