Derre Lou Singleton, 87, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Wednesday December 28, 2016 at Consulate Healthcare of Port Charlotte.

She was born January 26, 1929 in Chillicothe, Ohio to the late Herman and Arzella S. Bean and moved to Port Charlotte in 1981 from Ludlow, Kentucky. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Charlotte.

Survived by her loving family, three sons, Glenn (Claudia) Singleton of Griffin, GA, Douglas (Marilou) Singleton ofTaylor Mill, KY and Robert (Cathy) Singleton of Port Charlotte; and a sister, Beverly Wynn of Taylor Mill, KY. 8 Grandchildren and 10 great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur J. Singleton, who died in 1987.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Wednesday, Jan. 4 2017 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel with Funeral Services at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
