Carole was born August 18, 1932, in Humboldt, Tennessee, to the late Jody “Joe” L. and Florence Lee Ora (nee – Carter) Chumney. A career Special Education School Teacher, Carole, a longtime resident of Johnson City, Tennessee, left her native Tennessee to retire to Port Charlotte, Florida, in 2007. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte.
She is survived by her daughter, Jill E. Beach, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two brothers, Bond Lee Chumney, and Paul Glen Chumney; a sister, Valery Chumney Faison; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by Brothers, Joe, Larry, and Samuel, a sister, Martha, and only son, Richard J. Pinkerton.
