He was born December 10, 1942 to the late Lewis Theodore and Alma Johnson Monkelien and moved to North Port 7 ½ years ago from Zephyrhills, FL. Anthony was a retired locksmith.
Survived by his loving family, three sons, Dewayne Anthony Dukes and daughter-in-law, Lisa Dukes of North Port, Larry and Travis Moffat of Seffner, FL; a sister, Constance Belles of Tampa, FL; a brother Luther Monkelien of Zephyrhills, FL; and 2 grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Saturday 3:00 PM, November 14, 2015 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel. Rev. Brian James of the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church will officiate.
