Anita, lovingly referred to as “NeNe” was born February 16, 1939 in Charlotte, N.C., where she raised her family. She moved to Port Charlotte, Florida when she retired to be surrounded by her very large and loving extended family.
She is survived by a daughter, Renee (Tom) Wallington of Summerville, S.C.; grandchildren, Michael and Alexander Wallington, nieces, Tina Morris, Laura Bernhard, Glenda Kusey and nephews, Pete Whisenant and Walter Whisenant all of Port Charlotte, Florida and nephews, Jeff Whisenant of Tennessee and Jerry Whisenant of Texas and their many children and grandchildren. She cherished and loved them all deeply. She is predeceded in death by a brother, Pete Whisenant and a son Keith Haigler.
Renee would like to thank all of the family for the love and support that they have shown “NeNe”, And for being there when I couldn’t.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 10:00AM to 11:00AM with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM at Roberson Funeral Home Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Entombment will follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens, Punta Gorda, Florida.
